Something to Talk About

Have you ever been in a conversation and are at loss for what to say next. Or how about when your best friend calls you and says that his girlfriend just dumped him. Well I have found a site that has many famous quotations suitable for any occasion. It is called Quotegarden. Not only is this site good for making people feel better, it is good for making others think you are smarter than what you really are. Everybody knows that jackass who has a quote for every occasion. Don't be that guy.

The second site of the day is called Antipode Map. The premise behind this site is simple. If you choose any spot on Earth, it will show you the corresponding spot on the other side of the planet. A straight line straight through the exact center of the earth. I did not know that the antipode to my location is actually in the middle of the ocean on the western side of Australia.

Check out both of these sites. I'm pretty sure that you will find them interesting. If you don't like them, it is not a big deal. I will post different sites later on. Until I post again...............

Mind Tricks

Today I stumbled across a mind trick. A mind trick is something that is hard to explain. Nobody knows why they work, they just do. One of the best examples that I have found is located at Wilk4.com It asks you to repeatedly answer simple math questions and then....... Well you have to see for yourself. You wouldn't believe me if I told you.

One of the greatest mind tricks that I have found are actually optical illusions. The best examples, IMO, or by M.C. Escher. Escher has designed the most ridiculous optical illusions ever created. These are some of the greatest "Mind Tricks" ever experienced.

Susan Boyle

Normally these posts are about humorous web sites, pictures, and the like. This evening I am going to do something different. It was my pleasure to watch a clip of Susan Boyle performing on Britains Got Talent. To say that this was amazing is an understatement. Such a beautiful voice coming from such an unexpected source. This rendition is what music should be. With all the popular "music" on the radio and tv lately, I am glad to see that someone still appreciates the fine art of song.
Due to technical difficulties, I am unable to embed this into my blog, but here is a link to a youtube video.
