Quick Post

Really quick post today. I have found two weird sites for you enjoyment.
I know that at one time or the other we have all thought "I wonder what would happen if I put this in the microwave." From ketchup packets to gelatin cups, even a footbal have gone into the microwave over at Micromaniac. They even show you time lapse video for those people who do not want to wait.

The second location we will look at can be compared to sex. It can be fun alone, but even more enjoying with a group of friends. Let me welcome you to "Pick The Perp" The game is really simple. You are shown mug shots of five people. You are then given a crime that one of these people were convicted of such as Sexual Battery. Your job is to pick the person who you think committed the crime. The site keeps track of correct and incorrect guesses so you can try to achieve a high score. My best is 31/100 = 31%. I challenge you to do better.

Look What I Found

While transferring files and rewriting HTML code (a pain in the A$$), I figured that my readers might get a little bit angry for not posting anything new in a couple of days. Well, to appease the masses: Top Tips

Moving to a New Domain

Good Morning! I apologize for not updating this blog in a more timely manner, but I have been a little busy. I now have a new domain at http://www.stealthmayhem.com and have been busy designing layouts and such for the past week. Rest assured that this blog will continue at both places. I look forward to your comments on the new layout and will submit more this weekend.

Something to Talk About

Have you ever been in a conversation and are at loss for what to say next. Or how about when your best friend calls you and says that his girlfriend just dumped him. Well I have found a site that has many famous quotations suitable for any occasion. It is called Quotegarden. Not only is this site good for making people feel better, it is good for making others think you are smarter than what you really are. Everybody knows that jackass who has a quote for every occasion. Don't be that guy.

The second site of the day is called Antipode Map. The premise behind this site is simple. If you choose any spot on Earth, it will show you the corresponding spot on the other side of the planet. A straight line straight through the exact center of the earth. I did not know that the antipode to my location is actually in the middle of the ocean on the western side of Australia.

Check out both of these sites. I'm pretty sure that you will find them interesting. If you don't like them, it is not a big deal. I will post different sites later on. Until I post again...............

Mind Tricks

Today I stumbled across a mind trick. A mind trick is something that is hard to explain. Nobody knows why they work, they just do. One of the best examples that I have found is located at Wilk4.com It asks you to repeatedly answer simple math questions and then....... Well you have to see for yourself. You wouldn't believe me if I told you.

One of the greatest mind tricks that I have found are actually optical illusions. The best examples, IMO, or by M.C. Escher. Escher has designed the most ridiculous optical illusions ever created. These are some of the greatest "Mind Tricks" ever experienced.

Susan Boyle

Normally these posts are about humorous web sites, pictures, and the like. This evening I am going to do something different. It was my pleasure to watch a clip of Susan Boyle performing on Britains Got Talent. To say that this was amazing is an understatement. Such a beautiful voice coming from such an unexpected source. This rendition is what music should be. With all the popular "music" on the radio and tv lately, I am glad to see that someone still appreciates the fine art of song.
Due to technical difficulties, I am unable to embed this into my blog, but here is a link to a youtube video.

Stutter-Stepped

Good morning to all of my readers out there. I just wanted to let you know that, at least according to me (the only one who counts), this is humor appreciation week. That being said, I hope you enjoy today's selections. Funny Stuff!

The first site I will recommend today is called "How to tell if your cat is trying to kill you!" This site explains some of the strange things that your pet cat does। And tells you the ulterior motives behind those actions. This is one of the major reason that I do not have cats. The way that they stare, and then pretend to love on you.......सकारी!

Another site I like to peruse is Say No To Crack. this site is filled with comics, funny stories, and everything else that can possibly put a smile on your face. The >link that I am including in this blog is one of my favorite images. It turns the world of psychology and behavior on its head. If you have ever read of a guy named Pavlov, you will understand.

That is it for today. Do me a favor and try to smile at everyone you meet. The nice people will smile back and try to make friends. The bad ones will think you are psychotic and stay away from you.

Fallen Over This Morning

Well, as you know, every day I post strange sites that I have seen in my travels across the digital landscape. Today is no exception. I have decided to focus on humor this week, see is how everyone needs to learn how to laugh during this stressful time of year. Of course, I refer the the most dreaded day of the year, April 15. Tax time! If you have already completed your taxes, please wipe that smirk off of your face. Not everyone can be as perfect as you! For the rest of us, here are a couple of sites that will tickle your funny bone. Guaranteed to give you a few moments of joy in a time when you need it most. Put down the 1040s and just relax for a minute with me.

The first site that I stumbled on today is "How To Tick People Off!".  This site details twenty things that you can do to make the world a worse place for you coworkers and friends.  From number 16" Staple all pages in the Middle, to number 27:  Asking people what gender they are, this page has tips for all of us.

Anothe page is an old classic: Girls are Evil!  This wonderful exaple show that girsl are really evil.  With concrete proof that no one can argue with, the mathematics of these equation are truly awe-inspiring.  We all know that girls are evil; at least know we have proof.

Well, there you go.  Two more sites to put a smile on your face.  Good luck finding deductions out of that shoenox of receipts you call your "files."

Where I've Landed Today.

Well, here I go again. Sorry about not posting a blog yesterday. I was really busy listening to all the songs and watching the videos from justhearit.com . Today I have another couple of sites that I have stumbled.

The first on is called You Should Have Seen This. The tagline for this site is "Things You Should Have Already Experienced On The Internet Unless You're a Loser or Old or Something" It gives you a list of the top 100 internet memes, with links to each. Whether you want to see the dancing baby again, or a drunk Jeff Goldblum, the links are here. If you have time to kill, this site will help you waste quite a bit of it.

The second site of the day is The Elegant Universe. In case you head had been buried under a rock or you have been speeding too much time on a previous recommendation, The Elegant Universe is a series from the television show " Nova" This one is for the smart folks. String theory, the beginning and possible ends of the universe, it is all here. Spend some time here if you want to spend the wasted hours of surfing to a good cause. Or, if you just want to look smart to your coworkers.

That is all for today. Make sure you check back in tomorrow top see what other interest or weird sites that I come up with.

Things I've Stumbled Upon

I was sitting at work today, with nothing to do as usual, when I decided to check out Stumbleupon.com. I had been there before, but never really paid any interest to what the site actually includes. Normally, I use Digg to find out what is going on in the world. But, today there was absolutely no work to be found. I figured that I would check out a random website using the stumbleupon search. Knowing that there may be one or two readers of this blog, I have decided to inlude the links to the website that I visit. Sometimes they are weird or wacky. Other times I my find them to be disgusting or downright scary. But, all of these sites are out there in the wild, just waiting for you to find them.
The first site that I found was Photos That Changed the World. Their motto is "Sometimes Breathtaking. Sometimes Horrific. Each photo has the power to inspire." This site has eighty photos, with a new one added each week, that has changed the way humanity perceives itself. Each picture contains a hyperlink that can be clicked to go to the article about the photo. Very informative and educational.
But, for the people who just want to relax there is Just Hear It. This website is now in private Beta testing. The premise behind this site is simple. Type in the name of the band, or song that you want to hear and it will find it for you. You can then create your own playlist for any occasion. These are two websites that I found today that could be of interest to you. Everyday, I will "seek out new life, new civilizations", or at least websites for you to enjoy. If you find any strange or unusual websites that you think would interest me, just include a link in you comments to these posts.
